Hi..My name is Steve, and I am a real fisherman..I'll be signing autographs in the foyer

A little humor there folks..As April is Parkinsons awareness month, April is now, thanks to the Deadliest Catch crew, Fishermans month..I have had Parkinsons for about 6 years now..I have been a fisherman for 34 years, and still fish part time..My primary purpose for fishing was never money..It was for love..Fishing is a way of life for those who have made it a life long occupation..As you can see on Deadliest Catch everyday is a new adventure, and that is the addiction that keeps us fishing forever..I wasnt a crab fisherman, I was a trawler fisherman, a dragger..I had a 47' wooden dragger that I sold in 2006 due to worsening Parkinsons symptoms..I now have a 19' fiberglass boat that I go shellfishing with

I met Capt Phil, and Capt Jonathan at the New Bedford Waterfront Festival in Sept of 2007, and got to chat with them briefly..Great down to earth friendly guys!!

If anyone has any questions about fishing, more than likely I can gladly answer them
