Condor,
I hope I never get desensitized to the point that I forget what is going on with our troops. Thank you for keeping it alive so that I don't ever forget.
I have 2 sons, 23 and 31. I cannot even fathom what it would be like to have a child in active war.
At their ages I still worry about all sorts of things that could take them from me. So there is no way that I can say "I know how you feel" to any parent/husband/wife/ who has someone in the battle.
I can only pray for them any time I think about the war or hear about it, and the times when I need to not think about "ME".
Thanks for reminding me of what could be any person's worse nightmare in life. Losing my life is not frightening to me, losing those I love is.
