One of the big things to know is that no matter which drug you chose, you are NOT stuck with it for life. If you get on the Betaseron wagon, and find the side effects too much, or simply hate the drug, your MD will change you to another therapy if they see you have given it a really good try, and have worked hard to make it work for you.
I liked Beta. it was something you mix yourself, so no fridge needed. the others say they can be out of the fridge for 30 days, but I dont trust that. I keep mine cool. Beta has a great track record, and works hard to plug the blood brain barrier so those cells cant get up there, and eat your mylin. Its well tolerated by most who take it. I have a friend who has been on it for 9 years now, and is doing great. now and again she spikes a fever after her shot, but a couple of tylenol, and shes good to go.
Its really a hard thing to do. I hope you are able to pick soon.
