The first pain doc suggested narcotics don't work for crps pain....but I was up to the maximum dose of tramacet and it did not appear to help, ie 650mgs four times a day, however I am reluctant to try the M-eslon (20mgs) until I see my original pain doc. Unfortunately that's not for a few months and my family doc is clueless. Thoughts very much appreciated as I'm just contemplating taking both

I too had my doc say that narcs aren't going to help with crps/rsd...don't always believe it though because if you check around most of us are on them. It is for pain...narcs help you perceive the pain differently not just take it away. I think you should call your other doc before doing anything...just give a call and ask the question, the doc specialty is pain after-all. Make sure your pain doc knows before you start any different meds because they could clash. I can call and leave a message for my doc at anytime through his nurse...give it a try. If the other med isn't working you might need to try a stronger narc....is tramacet in the Percocet family or Darvacet? You can also call any Pharmacist to let you know what they are (even Safeway) just ask to talk to one. Also check out Medline Plus it will give you the down-low on all the meds. Hope you start feeling better!
