Yes, you are right, it is scary stuff. These drugs are huge and we haven't figured out how to cope with them well yet.
But beware of the "nocebo" effect, too. I feel that nobody, no matter how informed, has the power to dictate the course my body will take and the healing possible, except for that that I allow. SO despite very informed, yes, but dire predictions, it doesn't mean that you can't heal, even if you are on medication. And I question the wisdom of descriptions like that touching a person with PD feels like snakes are crawling under their skin - I mean, a little negative? Especially considering how especially vulnerable we are to judgment, and negativity - out positive mental status is way more important than even the meds.
