Cat,
In my case I had 2 blood vessels compressing the T nerve. Each beat of the heart will compress the nerve at each contact point. The harder your heart works or by beating faster will make the pain worse. The mylin sheath that surrounds the nerve (and every nerve in our bodies) eventually wore through in my case. It's similar to wire chafing. The insulation is cut or worn through and whatever touchs the exposed wire causes a short; hence the shocking pain strikes in my jaw in my case. So, exercising was nearly impossible for me. Hope this info helps in some way.
