Sorry to hear that you are dealing with this!! I really hope that things start getting better for you soon and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Do you have RSD in your hands?? Muscle spasms are very common in RSD and that sounds a bit like what you are describing.

I have RSD in both arms and my left leg and I get very bad spasms, especially in my leg. I have 2 types of spasms, one where my toes and fingers will twitch up and down and myoclonic spasms where my leg jerks around uncontrolably.

My RSD has just recently spread to my left arm and that spasms quite a lot, especially in my shoulder area. I am dealing with a flare of the RSD in my right arm at the moment also and my wrist joins which is VERY painful!!! I usually can't stop the spasms - I have to try and 'deal' with them until they stop which can be anything from a few seconds to 30 minutes.

Are you on any muscle relaxants? If not, it might be worth talking to your doctor about them as they can be really helpful in controling spasms. I have tried all sorts of muscle relaxants and none have worked for me unfortunately but i've spoken to others who have had lots of relief from them.

I'm sorry that I can't help you that much - just know that I DO understand what you are going through and that you aren't alone!
