I had these after my knee surgery, very hot, electrical-like impulses that shot through my leg (from the knee down) at lightening speed, especially if I put my foot down & put weight on it.
Then it was discovered that I had nerve damage in that area.
Whether this is the same thing you are talking about, I don't know...

Work related (car) accident September 21, 1995, consequences:

- RSD both legs (late diagnosis, almost 3 years into RSD) & spread to arms/hands as of 2008
