Hey Erin,
Glad to hear the EMG went well. Sorry you couldn't get all of it done in one trip!
Pain going down one leg into the foot is typical with pinched nerves, etc. Rarely do you have issues on both sides, so the EMG doesn't surprise me. Do you feel it in both legs though? If one, which one? Curious because of how you said you couldn't figure out why the R was the problem. Sometimes, with a back injury you can have what they call "referred" pain in an area other than where the injury is. I've not heard of it being that severe on referred pain though, but I have limited knowlege there. My pain has always been right where it's supposed to be!

Take care and rest that back. Stay in a comfy position so you're not irritating it, and try the ice/heat if you haven't yet.
