Sally, it wouldn't move at all or they couldn't get passed it? If it wouldn't move as in it's broke then I am sorry. Does it have a manual release when the electric wont work?

I can tell you with almost 100% confidance if you have enough head room that they could have laid the washer on the chair lift on it's side and guided it down if it could move down the track. How do I know this? I had the same problem and figured if the chair could hold 250 lbs it could hold a washer, dryer, treadmill, gas water heater, packed boxes, etc. LOL

The other thing is couldn't they lift it over the chair and then carry it down? I've done that too on occasions when something was too heavy to guide with the chair.
