I'm so sorry you're having pain in that area. I have done so many things for my arms. They hurt to the point of wanting to chew them off or shoot them off. I'm way beyond that nowadays. (MVA in 10-2000).

NeuroTalk Communities - researching, communicating and reading from other TOSers has given me much insight, support and relief. "Elbows as straight as possible with palms up." Boy, that was a good morsel. Thanks so much for this site.

Good and bad medical advice - I learned not to bug them with too many complaints, understanding now they're human, and not expect a quick fix and not to believe everything you're told. You are your best advocate. Put your thinking cap on.

I've had lots of therapy. Yoga, exercise to tolerance and stretches helped. Meds, vitamins, injections, trigger point massage, drinking lots of water, aqua therapy, ultrasound (caused pain at shoulder joint), E-stim, Kinesio Tape (helped with ADLs and healing), spinal alignment board, balls, pillows (all kinds of pillows), traction, physical therapy ASTM (very painful physical therapy-wouldn't recommend it to anyone). TheraCane, LED and infrared therapy (helpd tremendously). I've worn arm socks because my arms were COOOOOLLLLLDDDDDDDD. Keeping them warm keeps pain down to a very low level. Hot showers. I used to use a heating pad to the point of getting burns, and burning them out. It's soothing, but heat causes swelling, on a microscopic basis. Using blankets, throws and warm clothing has replaced the need for a heating pad. Biofreeze, BenGay Extra... the red one. I'm sure there were other things. Oh, yeah. At one point, a short period of time, whiskey. cussing and praying in the same moment... I realized my arms were not going to fall off or explode. In a weird way, I found comfort in that.

I think my case was extreme; in that, compounding my pain level was a combination of problem cervical discs, whiplash, back, TOS, scalenes, pecs, life and work . It has not been easy.

You can PM me if you need more info about any of the above. I will tell you more in detail if you want to try any of the above.

I pray you find relief soon. May take a little time, though. Hang in there.
