Default Complex problem - anterior front teeth

I have been reading many of the posts on this forum and so much appreciate the excellent information.

I cannot find the post relating to an upper denture and possible problems with fitting a lower one at a future date. I don't think the topic was expanded upon. I will be getting an upper denture with plans put on hold for the lower one or possibly rebuilding of the lower crowns. Is there anything I should be aware of that could create difficulties for me in the future?

Just a bit of history- I have a transitional appliance now that takes the place of six anterior teeth. These teeth had been crowned more than 4 years ago. Pain ensued over the following months and several dental splints and repeated equilibrations were applied over the years. One tooth became apically abscessed and subsequently root canalled, two others were root canalled and perforated the root tips. Another two were recently found to be non vital. Since the crowns were too deeply set in the gum and needed periodontal surgery as well, I elected to have them extracted. It was a difficult decision .

My original front teeth had very old discolored white fillings. A splinter from the back of the tooth(filling?) came loose leaving a noticeable gap between my front teeth. I followed the dentists recommendations to have my front teeth crowned. My teeth had no pain or sensitivity at that time.

Too much has happened since to go into further detail, but I am looking to the future and hope to avoid as many mistakes as possible. I am giving dental matters more thought these days and asking many more questions. Thank you for hearing and possibly commenting on the denture question and any other advice you may have.
