Exclamation With all due respect, Karen...

Your experience is rather frightening.

Abscessed teeth can send bacteria thru the body (via the lymph system) to cause bacterial endocarditis, appendicitis or other infections of a very
serious nature. You were lucky that your abscess burst, drained itself.
But I would not assume it is cured. And you swallowed that drainage?
Some bacteria may remain in there and travel to the bone of your jaw. If this happens even antibiotics may not cure it. Bone infections do not respond
to antibiotics well. Upper teeth abscesses may pierce the sinus membrane and drain thru the maxillary sinus and give a false sense of "cure"..in reality the infection is moving thru your whole body. If in the lower jaw, it can move to the bone and once there cause necrosis.

Not everyone can handle 30 grams of Vitamin C in one day.
People with poor kidney functions would not be able to handle this dose.
And many people do not know what their kidney function level is in reality.
As we age most kidney functions decrease. Many people are walking around with 1/2 function (or less) with no symptoms at all.

I have to say, with all due respect that anyone with an abscess should seek
dental help ASAP. Please do not self medicate one.
