Our SSD forum might have some threads or posts with info, check the sticky there too -

I went outside on my own to get help for my wc injury too.
I did have to pay cash since a paper trail would have messed up my claim or confused /complicated things...on the wc part .

I did find a really good chiro that gave me a discount for cash payments, and he was/is my main TOS & adjustments treatment provider.

I also found a advanced PT guy that I went to for a thorough RSI/TOS evaluation - he was really good too.
He was the one to notice that my top ribs were in a raised position and got them dropped down in the one session.

I had been walking around with those raised & stuck ribs for months, and didn't realize what was causing even very minor uses to flare me up.
I had a constant weak neck, every little bump or turn riding in the car wore me out, couldn't even stir fry or brown hamburger and a constant tight collar feeling

After the PT guy dropped my ribs I drove home 30 miles and had no arm or neck pain. I was amazed!

At the next chiro session I mentioned it to him and he added top rib check/adjust to my tx, he only had to readjust every so often if I had done something to pop it up again.

so there are good people out there -just hard to search them out sometimes.
I called many PT places and stopped in at offices if they weren't busy I'd ask questions. If you find a good PT they usually can point you to a good dr.
