Its been a great weekend for me and Derrick.

Derrick got a couple new ribbons at the special olympics track meet
yesterday. It was a awful windy rainy time, but we got to do it indoors.

So 3 of his events weren't done.

And today we went to the Art festival at the high school to see all the
neat art. Derrick's was great. I imagine he has one of the things
that will be the talk of the show. A train exhibit. Its in digital design and
black and white but its very long and done very well.

Then he has three others. And a bunch of ceramics. And his story of
his life was in the exhibit too.

Then his teacher came by and informed him that one of his exhibits took
3rd place so he will win a prize. So he is wondering what he won and
isn't sure which one won.

Now I'm impressed because he is good, but so are lots of other kids.
