I find that the digression is often about something I have wanted to mention but forgot. When the word pops out of the rabbit hole, we are already primed to take off on the rabbit trail.
Do we live in an Alice in Wonderland world?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Very cool observation, Mark, and Everyone!
It can be frustrating for those around us, OR, it can be "mind expanding" if they're NOT in a rush, for an answer....
If they want an answer, well I can be very frustrating.
I have to take "the long way home", (which reminds me of a tune)...
BID, )But I Digress(
Conversationally, it can be fun.
It depends on who you're speaking to / with, and, the circumstances.
If things are relaxed, then OK.
But, things get rushed, you're on the phone, then, the kids are making noise, or work is, or whatever,
and someone asks a question, you brain can just Implode.
I think this phenomenon is called "Flooding".
It's like a Computer (mac or pc), BID, with too little RAM.
Even your "virtual memory" is slow at retrieval.
Hey, BTW,
I was told by my neuropsych, that computer RPGames, and puzzles, etc., thinking, strategizing games, are and Incredible Help, to Healing the Brain!
BID,
I also added O2 to my CPap machine, just for the healing effect.
It's surely not HBOT, but, it does help, over time...
BID,
I was a diver, and the oxygen that got permeated deep in to my muscles and tissues (not kleenex) BID,
was such an excellent pain reliever!
It hadto do good for my brain as well.
I was clear, and not in pain the next day, (I have RSD as well) BID,
It did wonders,
so I know that
HBOT must do well too!
BID,
I hope ya'll are doing your best!
