When I first started having neurological symptoms, they presented as a loss of balance and lack of lateral eye movement with sudden onset. My doctor had me go to the ER for a CT scan, and then I saw a neurologist the next day (the CT scan was on a Sunday-Murphy's Law that my brain blew up over a weekend.....). The doctors were suspecting a mini-stroke. I was told at that time that the advantage of the CT was to detect recent bleeds. So MAYBE since something showed up in your CT scans, it appeared to have been recent. My friend had an AVM, and it kept bleeding lightly over a period of time. It was in a bad location, so she always had serious effects when it bled and ended up having to have it removed. Maybe that's happening for you?

Good luck getting answers!
