I just realized that you jumped to the conclusion it was an abscess.
I don't know that it was an abscess. It wasn't like things dentists have called abscesses in the past.
It was a raised bump on my upper right hand gum.
Much like the bumps on my neck, which the Periodontist asked about in relation to the bone infection around my old dental implants.
though... this is what my American Heritage defines abscess as:
