Nicky so sorry for the news you got, Don't worry about the scar or healing time, do what is best for getting everything out, & I mean all of it, it is so important, there are a lot of stories of them not getting it all & it grows back. They are so good at stitching now, after a few years, the scar blends in, very thin.
