Help Veterans with Parkinson's Disease! E-mail your Representative in Support of H.R. 1428 Today!

Take Action!

Earlier this year, Representative Bob Filner introduced H.R. 1428, which will secure wartime disability compensation for Vietnam veterans with Parkinson's disease. PAN, along with the U.S. Military Veterans with Parkinson's, a group of over 200 Vietnam vets with Parkinson’s disease, is working to secure support for H.R. 1428.

H.R. 1428 will create a presumption of service connection for disabled veterans living with Parkinson's disease who were exposed to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. There is sufficient scientific evidence of an association between exposure to Agent Orange as used in Vietnam and Parkinson's disease. While PAN strongly encourages continued research in this area to improve diagnosis, prevention, and treatment methods, there is sufficient data to conclude that the VA should presume a service connection for these veterans. By creating a presumption of service-connection, veterans will be able to obtain the compensation and medical care that they have earned and so desperately need.

This legislation is critical for men and women who served our country in Vietnam and are now fighting the battle against Parkinson's disease. Please help Vietnam veterans with Parkinson's disease by asking your Representative to cosponsor H.R. 1428. Click "Take Action" and our system will provide you with an e-mail specific to your Representative.

The Army has been stonewalling "Agent Orange" and P.D. linkage for a long time.
As a former Army Engineer, RVN 68-69, I worked building roads and bridges tru "Defoleated" area's.
Army denied, to me, any connection to PK as recently as 2004 after I was forced to retire!
So, I will get behind this, I know that the Navy admits agent orange connections with Diabetis, so why not other
