I have been taking 2700 mg of neurontin (900 mg, three times per day). I am starting withdrawl from it as it no longer seems to be working (burning on my head and arm has been bothering me for 6 weeks) and I do not want to increase my dose once more. My neuro has me taking 1800 mg for five days and then 900 for the next five days. I have taken two does today and will take the third at bedtime. I am experiencing nausea and hot flashes. I am really hoping that this does not get worse. Is this normal?
