Red face whew...

That is a relief, Cara. I hope they find a simple explanation for the bleeding.
This is quite common, you know.

My son's finger is better today. (first day with no bleeding).
No swelling or signs of infection. (he is taking care of it like I showed him).
He says it is healing up...but with a way to go still.

A gal at work yesterday said they can stitch a wound up like this. She had it
done...by pulling the skin over the open area. Sounds worse than the
initial wound, however. In her case she could see the finger bone, and with
my son, it wasn't that DEEP, but only across a large area. His was about 1-2 millimeters deep.

This reminds me of a customer once who came up to my counseling window, and asked about bandages. When I asked, him what for?, he whipped out this finger that had 1/2 inch of bone poking out of it...mangled..rather shocking and gross.
I directed him to the urgent care 3 blocks down, and told him to possibly expect a referral to the ER even! It was quite a sight!

Sorry Al.... my hubby is stubborn like my son, too. I am outnumbered here by them!
