He perscribed Lyrica and it is a godsend for me!! The side effects are annoying such as feeling loopy, and unable to concentrate - but the the relief from the ATN pain in my face is worth it! Not sure if this will help - but I've read that they are just beginning to use Lyrica for ATN, so maybe it's an option you haven't tried.
