Default You might very well be "co-morbid"--

--in the sense that you may have both spinal issues and problems with the peripheral nerves farther down the line (Lyme disease is a known cause of neural dysfunction).

It's often hard to distinguish if the symptoms are coming from the spine or from peripheral nerves--the symptoms can be exactly the same. Many of the pharmaceutical treatments are also the same, as they can work on nerves in both places, although spinal issues also can have other tretment options, ranging from physical therapy to injections to surgery.
