I agree wholeheartedly with all those who recommend going to another neurologist. Evidently, there are many out there who either are not aware of all the different things that can trigger PN. Some, like the one I was lucky enough to find, will go beyond their normal testing protocol in order to try something else that might be the culprit. As I posted earlier, my neurologist ran enough blood tests to realize that I needed to see a hemotologist who could do the necessary testing. He, after taking 6 vials of blood, plus a bone marrow biopsy, found that I have what is labeled Waldenstroms Syndrone. A fancy word for blood cancer.
Thanks to the good Lord, a relatively new drug, (6yrs) was developed that will kill the cancer cells. Along with bringing the cancer into manageable levels, the neuropathy will fade out. So I'm told. We'll see
The point is, don't give up. Go to another neuro for another opinion.
