When I come home from the hospital it takes me about a week before I have a proper sleep.

I always put it down to the noise you get used to in hospital, machines bleeping, nutty patients etc. When you get home its too quiet. Im quite sure there has been a study done, a few years ago mind, that patients that have stays in ICU have problems sleeping afterwards due to the level of noise they have got accustomed to. Probably also from being woken up for obs at the weirdest times also!

Told you I had a crummy short term memory.....before I was ill I had a photographic memory. Could read a policy document once and then recite it to the management team. Now I can't even read a forum post and remember its contents LOL!
