I've never heard of it being diagnosed in degrees, numerically.
I think it's 'just what it is'.
But there are different definitions (depending on where you go..... and what your doc decides to write down) of severe, mild, necrotic, etc.
I think different institutions and research depts have pet terms
they like to use.
