Default Reflexes ?

I was wondering how many may have dropped feet and no ankle reflexes?

I keep hoping the Doc. is wrong about ALS because he sees axonal motor problems in all four limbs. What about other things for investigation?

I started with difficulty scooching down for some time. Then when working on the house hand cramps and foot cramps.

Then when I sat down at the computor I'd get an electrical shock between knee and ankle. Every time I got that shock down the front of my leg my foot would lift up. Soon my big toe dropped and the others followed in thier own time. Balance went after that.

Then it started on the other leg.

I'd lost my mom and I went into what I'd call a storm. Everything moved, my toes and fingers and ankles as well as feet and upper front part of legs.

After this all settled down and I went to the Doc. he said after emg it's ALS.

Well my hyper reflexes went away in weeks to normal or below. My ankle reflexes are gone totally.

Two other Docs couldn't see it and said no to ALS, even the MDA.

One in private practice said no even after emg.

Back to MDA to see Physiatrist for an emg. He said it's in four places and when we see that its ALS. He said you have a unique presentation.

My throat bothers some but I gratefully eat alright and breath alright.

My main problem for years now has been my legs and feet.

I didn't mean to write so much. But am wanting to know if any of you have loss of reflexes in feet and normal in knees? Is this found in ALS?

This Doc. wants to start me on Riluzole. Don't like what I read about it.
