Hey Kathy! Trust me, you are NOT being a baby. Having a transsternal thymectomy is HUGE surgery - and hurts like heck! I have a VERY high pain tolerance, but it did hurt, so if there in another, less invasive, less painful way of doing it, then I would have done it as well.......
