I have been at a memorial /celebration of life today.....a former student with muscular dystrophy. He was six and in first grade in my class for physically impaired when I retired. He died at 17. He was a gift...i got up and spoke, with three teachers surrounding me in case i lost balance. microphone -- i need one all the time.
His grandfather spent more than a decade searching for experimental therapies, it prepared me for my journey.
