Lightbulb Moleskin

which is a very funny name BTW...is felt with stickum on the other side.

Dr.Scholl's sells it for feet...it should be in any foot section of a store.

My podiatrist suggested it. I was using magnets ALOT in the old days, for my
unbearable knee, and my foot issues. I noticed that I developed rashes, on my feet (but NOT my legs) and asked about that. My podiatrist also suggested magnets to patients for pain control.

The neodymium mags I have are nickel coated. Some people are also allergic to nickel. In my case it was what she called "magnet burn". It occurs where the skin is thinner (the tops of my feet). Where there is less "tissue" like on fingers/toes, the redness is noticable. On legs/back etc I don't get the "burn" at all. If you can't find "moleskin" you can use tape or even a bandaid pad which I have done in a pinch to put between you and the mag.

So I am not sure if it is the nickel that covers the magnet or the effect on
the capillaries in the skin, that causes it.

Looks like a new improved type is out there...! with a little cushioning too.
This will not make a difference in the magnetism, esp with neodymium type
magnets.
