Went to Physical Therapy today per doctors orders. They were to look at the right hip and figure out what, if anything they could do for me. Supposedly I had to go do this to keep getting the treatments the doctor is doing paid for from medicare.

I was thinking that this was going to be a big waste of time, and also going to hurt like (insert choice curse word). But was pleasantly surprised to find the guy was highly knowledgeable, and knew about RSD.

He did a thorough examination to see how flexible I am, then went for the strength tests. He was able to see which was cause by the RSD, and which is caused by the bad back. My doctor likes to lump all my problems into the bad back, and give me grief over the RSD.

So this run with the PT guy may help me with my doctor when it comes to separating all the different problems.

Once he started workin me over, I am not going to lie, it hurt like the dickins! He used deep massage first, then something like a tens unit along with heat. Then he whipped out the ultra sound unit with more massage and the heat from the ultra sound digging in real deep! Topping it all off with the cold laser to chill the muscle spasms.

The PT guy told me I am a real mess and it might take him a few more of these kinds of treatments before we can even begin to look at what kind of work outs to do. Cant wait for that

First time I have seen a pt person, and it is a real eye opener! Have read lots of stories about them from you all, boy is it different in real life LOL!!!

Well I have gone to one once, but it wasnt what I considered one after seeing this guy LOL! The other guy just had me work out my ankle on 3 days and said he couldnt help me. He never even checked me out like this guy. No comparison!
