hello,

I have obstructive hydrocephalus and have had a VP Shunt since I was 3 mo old. I am now 29 yrs old. I have led a pretty normal life for the past 26 years playing sports running no real problems with my shunt until about 3 years ago I started having severe headaches and dizziness and vomiting and blurring vision ever since then I have had nothing but headaches literally. I have had to have I believe 5 revisions I think I have kinda lost count it has been a rough 3 years. I am still not right. I have not been able to run for at least a year due to the headaches. I am very fatigued, still vomiting, my whole personality has changed. I want my life back!! This shunt thing has ruined my life but the neurosurgeon tells me that I would die without one so I am just trying to hang on but these headaches have to stop. They have tried different shunt and adjustments and also various meds and nothing seems to work. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has been though a similar situation. There was talk of doing an Endoscopic Third Ventriculoscopy?? Any advice??

Thanks
Heather
