Hi CZ,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having a bad time. Each time I get sick with a cold or sinus infection I have many seizures my neuro told me it was do to the change in my body chemistry and also any over the counter meds I took. I found taking Aleve for cold and sinus the best thing for me. I'm no Dr. but it sounds like you might be having tonic clonic or possibly clonic seizures. I just recently started having clonic seizures where I will blank out long enough to hit the floor then I'm conscious and having convulsions where I'm jerking my arms and legs around, and I'm unable to speak. I just saw my neuro and he put me on keppra so far I haven't had a single seizure but what will really prove if the drug works is when my hormones change. My advice to you is to go see an Epileptologist at an Epilepsy Center you can usually find them at University Hospitals. I've seen many neuros over the yrs. but I've found seeing a Dr. who speacializes in epilepsy much better and I take fewer drugs. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Sue
