I really understand your frustration! I'm a cat and dog lover but as they say,"cats rule and dogs drool" Have you had your cat checked for a urinary tract infection? I found that this is how my cat told me she had pain and something was wrong with her. That's a good place to start if you haven't yet. A cat's urine odor is so very hard to get out of carpet and I've tried everything. You may have to have your carpet cleaned professionally. Cats are terribly fussy about their litter box; it needs to be scooped at least once daily or have another litter box for your cat. It worked for my cat. I hope it helps!
