I agree, I would definitely get her checked for a urinary tract infection.
My cats will sit at their box and wait for me to scoop it clean if there is anything in there. I have probably created my own monster here but I can't stand a dirty litter box and, apparently, neither can they! Like Jo's cats, mine complain loudly if I don't scoop it out quickly enough!
