Interesting news item. My take on this is; its true, stem cell transplants are being tested for various disorders in India. The hospital, doctor exist and probably the patient too. However, Bone marrow stem cells are not known for their ability to differentiate into neurons, so chances of success are slim. Oh; on the other hand mesenchymal cells do differentiate and are in the bone marrow prep . so these guys may have a success story!
anyway, this is nt much different than what is being done in Germany (Xcell center??) same story, most likely a transient benefit but I bet a lot cheaper than in Germany!!
If I beleived in the science behind these experimental therapies I would sign up for it!
