Default New here Hello

Hello:I am new to this forum & would like to introduce myself.....I was diagionsed with Pseudo tumor cerbri hydrocephauls in Jan 2005 Vp prog shunt inserted march 05-developed infection(staph & peritonitus) had 2nd surgery to remove shunt May 05 had last shunt placed Oct 2005. All seemed to be finally going well until March of this year...when bam started feeling bad had several bouts of vertigo and noticed a small lump on shunt track behind ear by the end of March had EXTREME vertigo & vomiting was only able to go to local hopsital where they treated the vertigo & vomiting and told me your in shunt failure you need to see your ns tomorrow! Needless to say I was so sick I could have cared less....well go into neuro he rushed me right in and lowered my pressure and I immediatly felt better.....he had me come in to more times in the following weeks & I seemed to get better. Well in June I developed right ear pressure & a roaring in that ear (shunt is on that side & that was same location of eariler small lump) At that time I was diaginosed with ecrolisis(sp?) infection from a tick bite so was put on strong antibotics and the pressure & roaring dissappeared. After 2 weeks of that med I broke a tooth and yes guess what on the top right side. Then the roaring returned and dentisit thought might have tooth infection HE put me on antibotics until I could get the tooth fixed. Long story I know but I had the tooth fixed a week ago Monday and the roaring & pressure returned with a vengecisis and has been getting worse along with the pressure headache which is now become almost unbearable. Just wonder if anyone else has had something similar if you think it is shunt related or some other issue? Sorry this was so long...
