Hi Whirlwind,
Try not to worry - it'll make things harder for you. I've had general anesthetic 3 times since being diagnosed. Make sure you talk to the anesthesiologist first - he or she should put your mind at rest. If you have time before your surgery you should have a simple bloodtest done to see if you are pseudocholinesterase deficient - I am and I had a bad reaction to the anaesthetic once (but now they know to use a specific type of anaesthetic). Also, the anaesthesiologist will probably give you more reversal than usual to re-awaken your muscles. I'm sure some of the "boffins" will have even more encouraging words!!
