I have been able to handle the Propofol and Fentanyl they usually give. What they do differently for me, however, is to use pediatric gas to intubate instead of a muscle relaxer. It works great. Vets usually use that because it wears off more quickly with fewer side effects.
If they are going to give you Morphine for pain, that is the real problem for MGers. I could only handle it for 24 hours. My breathing was moderately severe due to it. It got much better after I stopped it.
I hope the surgery goes well. I'm sure a conversation with the anesthesiologist will help. It did for me.
