It is often confusing and anxiety producing to be going thru a diagnostic process when answers are not easily forthcoming.
I think you are wise to seek another opinion.
I would keep a record/copy of all your tests. I would keep a journal to log your medications and when you feel these unpleasant sensations.
LizaJane.org has testing information in chart form that you can use to log and keep track of your medical tests. That link is also on the stickies at the Peripheral Neuropathy forum.
I think you should just take it one day at a time and not project too far into the future until you have more information in hand. Many people end up going to many doctors before arriving at a diagnosis.
