Default The Worst Case of Freshman-itis

OK, we all know what that is. You research something and are sure you have it. I have done nothing but research brain aneurysms since I had my second stroke a couple of weeks ago and I just missed having to have a second craniotomy and bypass.

Approximately 0.2 to 3 percent of people suffer a bleed. Of course that represents 30,000= people, but why am I still allowed to fence. I keep looking at m pictures from summer nationals and other fencers stories and just am so inspired to fence.

Granted I am a danger when I drive, so I don’t and I am trying to keep my BP down so they don’t pop, but my surgeon said they could go at any time and then I get a letter letting me return to work with no restrictions.

I am constantly fatigued and yesterday slept for 4 hours. I have most of the “classic” symptoms. Short term memory loss, loss of concentration, speech problems. Sure my Doctors say wait and see, but this time bomb is in MY head. No wonder I am depressed and crazy. Only people who have had this happen understand it, there is no way to understand trying to get words out or stand up or losing control of certain functions until it has happened to you.

But back to the main topic. Based on what I have read, I expect them to pop before I finish typing this. I am sorry my friends, all I do is complain, and I hate a whiner, but I am only going to deteriorate further.
