Kitty - I grow jalepenos too, but not to eat. You can freeze them, just put in a bag as they are. They'll last a year or so.
I chop and de-seed, and put one or two in stew, soup, chilli, stuff like that. You can put some bits in a pickle jar in the fridge - leave set for a couple weeks - to spice up the pickles.
Adding just a tad gives food a tiny kick and lots of flavor without too much heat - and it's really good for you.
Last year we grew thai hots and dried them. Holy moley those things are smokin'!
Well, they pulled *our* house off the Realtor's website, so I guess that means - finally - they're accepting our offer. Things are still way up in the air. Is dh gonna have a job here come spring? Who knows... My Magic 8 ball says it's unclear. His old department is firing back up again, word is, and if they call him back, he is determined to go.
I know this; we can afford this house now but if we wait, they are gonna go out of our price range. Florida ain't gonna happen if it doesn't happen this year.
I told him this is why people stick with the thing they know. At least it's the same old garbage instead of new, scary garbage. but you never get a shot at change for the better either.
