May i try to explain why i am so afraid of the needle and concern about the possible spread of RSD? I contracted RSD through an IV needle stick during one of my nerve blocks for my chronic pelvic pain (pudendal nerve entragement). A very painful condition makes me disabled and unable to sit at any length w/o pain. With that said, i am dealing with two incurable condition, that is the reason why i would rather die sometimes or find an excuse to die. However, God had been gracious so far helping me to go through each day. I am still working part time with these two horrific condition.
I will speak to my anestheologist regarding the prevention of the spread.
