Default I've tried them all, Lunesta, Dalmane, even Xanax at night

Since everybody here is talking about Groucho Marx and SOMEBODY NEEDS TO SLEEP, please allow me to give you my experience.

Having been a lifelong non-sleeper (ever since I was a baby), I would drive my mother crazy. She would say: "you never slept, you kept us up all night".

Well, it didn't get any better as I grew up. Being somewhat neurotic, phobic and I do have my anxieties, well the mind never quiets down.

The first time a doctor gave me an ambien I thought I died and went to heaven. Can you imagine putting your head on the pillow at 11 p.m. and wake up at 7 a.m. the next morning. Never did that in my life.

I would still be taking it today if I could afford it.

He gave me samples of Lunesta. Did nothing.

I snuck some of Alan's flurazepam (Dalmane). and that does the trick right now.

It's either that or take Xanax before I retire. While Xanax is not a sleeping pill, it relaxes me and I get a good night's sleep.

So because Alan doesn't take the Flurazepam any more, I use it and I sleep just fine. I sleep from 11 till 8:30 in the a.m. I get a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP.

My doctor know's this. Now that I have moved on to Dr. Fred, when i have my first appointment with him, I'll discuss my insomnia with him.

I once read that sleep is absolutely essential for the health of the body.

We need to be sleeping through the night, not getting up 5 or six times and walking the floor.

Just some information for you guys.

Mel
