Default Sudden onset of numbness in left hand

Hello Friends,

My neuropathy in my feet has not changed in approx 6 months, no improvement, but no change either.

However I am having a scare today!

After I woke up I noticed that the tip of my thumb, and next finger were tingling, as thought they were a sleep. I thought possibly they were just a sleep so I shook my hand and did not think much of it.

Then as the morning progressed, the tingling got worse, and now my thumb and fingers are all feeling as though they are asleep, and a bit in the flat of my hand too. It feels like I pinched a nerve in my wrist. (I had carpal tunnel when I was pregnant, years ago, and had this sensation, but it went away after I had my daughter. I also had carpal tunnel when I dental assisted, but that to went away after I stopped dental assisting.) So I must be prone to this disorder.

The neuropathy in my feet started completely different, slow slow, not like this, so I am hoping this tingling it is not a FAST onset of neuropathy in my hand.

Then I though maybe I am having a stroke, but if I were to be a judge it feels more like a nerve thing going on then a numbness from a stroke, and I have no other symptoms.

So, maybe possibly I slept on that wrist and caused a temporary nerve condition that is causing this? My neck has been bothering me lately too, but I don't know if that could be causing tingling in my hand.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Patty
