Not a naive question at all!! I believe you are right in thinking the tens unit is based on the same theory as the SCS...I guess my hardest time was beng so happy after had the temp. unit in thinking it was a positive and then having to wait so long only to wake up and not have the benefit of the SCS, permanent implant..
