It seems that since it's always been men I cared about who's actions tore down my self esteem it only seems fitting it would be men I care about to build it back up. It's like getting an apology from the person who has done you wrong instead of getting the apology from someone who had nothing to do with doing you wrong. Now that I know this I can begin to tell myself that I am good and worthy and not worry about getting validation from a man.
