I've noticed that your son usually gets most upset on Mondays, but seems to do well most other mornings. My son used to be that way, too. They get two days (or 3 when there is a holiday) then they don't want to leave mom.

I used to pump him up on Sunday night before bed and remind him of all the fun he had last week. I'd get him to talk about what he wanted to do with his friends the next day and ask him what his favorite thing was from the last week. Then, we would make a big deal of getting his back pack together and picking out what he wanted to wear. It seemed to help.

I also saw your bread comment. Do you have a Sam's Club near you? We get 2 loaves of bread for what you are paying for one by going to Sam's Club.
