it's a bit unreasonable.
i'd go to the place that did your mri. sign a release and ask them for a copy (CD) of your films. you might have to come back to pick it up but it shouldn't be more than about 48hrs.

then you can take it to your dr. and the place you had your new films taken...do the same thing. get a copy. do that each time you have mri's. keep the copies for yourself and start a medical record. then any time you need to see another dr you will have the films.
